I'm about as left as it is possible to get on the political spectrum, but i try to keep an open mind. Part of that process involves "personalizing" those political figures that usually just receive a typical knee-jerk "progressive" thoughtless reaction. So I thought I'd ease into personalizing Gov. Deal by enjoying some candid photos of his very nice wife, doing very nice things, while drinking a nice cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I did not progress past the first offering of photos, "Rainbow Academy of Learning and Alpha Academy & Child Care Center in Decatur." And now there is coffee up my nose, too! Thank goodness for Obamacare, or I would have no health care professional to drain the Italian Roast from my cerebral sinuses! I do appreciate the First Lady of Georgia sharing these lovely photos of herself and another white woman, presumably a PR wizard, and all of these beautiful black children and their beautiful black teachers. It's wonderful to know that diversity is alive in the Georgia Governor's Mansion. Question: Was this portrait of racial parity taken before or after Nathan Deal introduced and successfully saw passed the Safe Carry Protection Act? If after that amazing bit of legislation, how did they screen all of those kids and still find time to have Mrs. Deal read them that inspirational book, "Who I'd Like To Be"? Thanks for the opportunity to comment, and as a Georgia educator, good luck to those precious children!
